Product description

Duplex roestvast staal. Binnen de groep duplex roestvast staal is 1.4462 de meest toegepaste kwaliteit. Naast de voor duplex kwaliteiten kenmerkende hoge sterkte, heeft deze kwaliteit ten opzichte van 1.4404 en 1.4362 een superieure weerstand tegen vooral lokale aantastingsvormen als putcorrosie. Deze eigenschap is te danken aan enerzijds de hogere percentages chroom en molybdeen en anderzijds door de aanwezigheid van stikstof. De kwaliteit 1.4462 wordt onder andere toegepast in de chemie, petrochemie en off-shore en is verkrijgbaar in plaat, staf en buis.
