Titaan Grade 1 is een commercieel zuivere kwaliteit. Het is de zachtste, ongelegeerde uitvoering van titaan met de laagste sterkte en de hoogste taaiheid. Het materiaal is goed bestand tegen algemene corrosie en putcorrosie. Titaan Grade 1 beschikt over een self-healing effect, waardoor de oxidehuid onmiddellijk hersteld. Titaan Grade 1 is lasbaar, koud vervormbaar en is slagvast. Het materiaal leent zich goed voor dieptrekken. De legering wordt gebruikt voor verschillende toepassingen, waaronder voor platenwarmtewisselaars, chemische installaties, chloor- en ontziltingsinstallaties en anodes.
