Austenitischer Edelstahl. Dank der Kombination verschiedener sehr günstiger Eigenschaften ist austenitischer Edelstahl ein häufig verwendetes rostfreies Material. In geglühtem Zustand besitzt das Material eine ausgezeichnete Verformbarkeit (Biegen, Tiefziehen, Stanzen etc.). Diese Qualität besitzt eine ausgezeichnete Korrosionsbeständigkeit in vielen oxidierenden Atmosphären. Durch seine Zähigkeit, schlechte Wärmeleitfähigkeit und hohe Festigkeit ist das Material nur mäßig zerspanbar. Bekannte Anwendungsgebiete: Haushaltsgeräte, Anlagen für die Milch- und Nahrungsmittelindustrie, Spültröge und Arbeitsplatten. Diese Qualität ist häufig doppelt zertifiziert als 304L/1.4307, mit diesen Spezifikationen enthält das Material etwas weniger Kohlenstoff zur Verhinderung interkristalliner Korrosion nach dem Schweißen.
