RVS 310 is een hittebestendig roestvast staal. De oorsprong van dit materiaal ligt in de RVS309, echter is deze kwaliteit beter bestand tegen oxidatie bij hoge temperaturen vanwege het hogere chroom-nikkel gehalte. Dit materiaal heeft goede sterkte-eigenschappen bij hoge temperaturen en is daarom bijzonder geschikt wanneer er goede mechanische eigenschappen worden vereist bij hoge temperaturen. Het biedt tevens een uitstekende chemische weerstand bij temperaturen tot 1100°C. Dit materiaal wordt veel toegepast in de petrochemische industrie en in de oven- en fornuizenbouw.
