This additionally straightened, alloyed heat-treatable steel is wear-resistant. In situations involving (abrasive) wear and shock and impact loads, this grade is an attractively priced alternative for more expensive, specifically wear-resistant steel grades. The wear resistance can be improved further by heat treatment, hardening, flame hardening or induction hardening.
