Challenges faced by the industry
In today's modern aerospace industry, high performance materials play a crucial role in the development and construction of reliable and fuel-efficient aircraft. As well as designing a structure that is light and aerodynamic, aerospace engineers also need to consider the precise strength and weight of each component to guarantee safe operation. The strength and durability of all the materials used require detailed analysis. The aerospace industry has traditionally been a world leader in the development of ‘super alloys’ of titanium, cobalt and nickel. These alloys combine extreme temperature resistance with strong anti-corrosion properties.
MCB Specials
MCB Specials started as a supplier of non-ferrous materials in 1936. We are part of the MCB Group and have expanded our range of products and services over the years to become a total supplier. At MCB Specials, we offer the market an extensive choice of very light and at the same time strong, homogeneous and easily workable materials for the aerospace industry.
Short supply chain
We focus on consistent quality assurance and supply chain optimisation. Because we can deliver materials sawn or cut according to a drawing, we eliminate unnecessary steps in the process. Thanks to our extensive experience in this area, we can offer customers highly flexible supply arrangements.
Extremely cost-efficient
A short time-to-market is only possible if the parties involved work together closely. That is exactly what we do with our global partners and factories. We always find a solution at MCB Specials, even when confronted by challenging material grades and shapes. An EDI link is a further service we can offer. Electronic Data Interchange reduces costs throughout the value chain.
Materials
Materials are supplied according to AMS, ASTM, ASME, EN and ISO standards. We deliver high-quality materials of a homogeneous composition in connection with high-precision machining and ultra-cleanliness. We also offer heat treatment of materials, such as annealing according to customer specification and/or customer-specific packaging and traceability.
