Alloy C22 is een nikkel-chroom-molybdeen legering met daarbij wolfraam en ijzer. Het heeft een uitstekende weerstand tegen zowel oxiderende en zure omgevingen alsmede ook gemengde zuren. Het materiaal wordt vaak gebruikt wanneer er weerstand nodig is tegen put- en spleetcorrosie in zuur en halide omgevingen. Toepassingen zijn onder andere de chemische procesindustrie, rookgas ontzwaveling, afvalverbranding en pulp en papier verwerkende industrie.
