Product description

Austenitischer Edelstahl. Im Vergleich mit der Qualität AISI 1.4301 wird durch die Hinzufügung von Molybdän die Korrosionsbeständigkeit in namentlich einer chloridhaltigen Atmosphäre verbessert. Da der Kohlenstoffanteil im Vergleich mit der Basisqualität 1.4401 (316) gesenkt wird (316L/1.4404), besitzt diese Qualität nach dem Schweißen eine höhere interkristalline Korrosionsbeständigkeit. Diese Qualität ist gut verformbar, lässt sich gut polieren und besitzt eine gute Korrosionsbeständigkeit und Zähigkeit. Die Zerspanbarkeit ist mäßig bis schlecht. Die Qualität 1.4404 wird in der Nahrungsmittelindustrie, milchverarbeitenden Industrie und in maritimen Umgebungen, Hallenbädern und in der Architektur verwendet.
