Product description

Alloy 600 is een nikkel-chroom-ijzer legering. Deze legering wordt vaak toegepast wanneer weerstand tegen corrosie en warmte nodig is. De legering heeft ook uitstekende mechanische eigenschappen en geeft de gewenste combinatie van hoge sterkte en goede verwerkbaarheid. De legering is niet precipitatie hardend, het wordt alleen gehard en versterkt door koud vervormen. De veelzijdigheid van Alloy 600 heeft geleid dat het wordt gebruikt bij toepassingen waarbij temperaturen uiteenlopen van cryogeen tot boven 2000°F (1095°C). De legering wordt veelvuldig gebruikt in de chemische industrie. Toepassingen zijn onder andere kachels, verdamperpijpen, buisplaten voor de bereiding van natrium sulfide en apparatuur voor papierpulp industrie.
