Acier inoxydable austénitique. Ce type d'acier inoxydable est une qualité 1.4301 alliée à du titane et a donc pratiquement les mêmes propriétés que cette dernière. L'ajout de titane garantit la résistance, notamment à la corrosion intercristalline en état soudé. Le titane lie notamment le carbone présent dans l'acier sous forme de carbure de titane, ce qui permet d'éviter la formation de carbides de chrome sur les limites de grain. Quoique ce type soit connu comme qualité à souder, il peut également être longuement utilisé sans risque dans le cadre d'un trajet de température de 45 à 850 °C.. L'ajout de titane comporte certains désavantages, dont une diminution de l'aptitude au polissage et une certaine régression de son aptitude au formage par rapport au type 1.4301. Lors de l'usinage, les carbides de titanes seront cause d'une usure supplémentaire du ciseau.Le matériau est utilisé dans, entre autres, l'industrie chimique, l'industrie textile et l'industrie du caoutchouc.
